Zygowicz, Marion E. (Stroink) (December 17, 1911 - April 23, 2011)

Marion E. Zygowicz, age 99, of Colby passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the Colonial Center in Colby.

Marion was born December 17, 1911, to Johanna (Wilkowski) and Charles Stroink in the town of Pike Lake. 

She was joined in marriage to Joseph Zygowicz on September 3, 1934. 

They lived and raised their family in Chicago until 1949 when they bought and operated a farm southeast of Unity. 

She is survived by her children, Jerome (Bonnie) Zygowicz, Colby, Patricia (Roger) Lamprey, Roswell, GA and Robert (Mary Zygowicz, Colby; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her two brothers, Raymond Stroik, town of Bevent, and Edmund Stroiuk, Stevens Point. 

Marion was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Joseph Stroik; and sisters Ann Coffman and Irene Miller. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Colby. Father Daniel Hackel will officiate. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Colby.
