Marcott, Dorothy #3 (1 APR 1915 - 21 MAY 1960)

 

Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Alliance Church at Curtiss on Tuesday afternoon, May 31, for Mrs. Wilford (Dorothy) Marcott, age 45, who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, on May 21, 1960 after a lingering illness.

 

Mrs. Marcott was born in Curtiss on April 1, 1915, and lived in that community her whole life.  She received her education in the Curtiss Public School and was a graduate of Abbotsford High School.  She was a member of the Christian Alliance Church and Helping Hand Society and an active church worker.  She was married to Milford Marcott in June 1933.

 

The Rev. James Stone officiated.  Rev. and Mrs. Stone sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Some Day We’ll Know the Reason Why," accompanied by Mrs. Lee Smiley.

 

She is survived by her husband, four sons, Arthur Marcott, Owen, Robert Marcott, Abbotsford, Donald Marcott, rural Dorchester, Richard at home; one daughter, Susan, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pudlas; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Esther) Thompson, and Mrs. Tovio (Grace) Kallio, and six grandchildren.  A brother, John, preceded her in death.
