Buss, Kathryn (1 NOV 1878 - 2 AUG 1960)

At 2:00 o’clock this afternoon, Thursday, Aug. 4, funeral services for Mrs. Charles Buss, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), will be held at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  The Rev. J.R. Stone will conducted the service with burial to be made at Riverside Cemetery.

Emil Laabs, Bill LaMarr, Bill McNitt, Brady Vomstadt, and Lucius Bowen will serve as pallbearers.  Dolores Jackson and Janice Hofmeister will be in charge of the floral offerings.

Mrs. Charles Buss, nee Kathryn Sonntag, passed away at her home in Withee at 12:30 Tuesday morning with death being attributed to complications of old age.  She had attained the age of 81 years, 9 months and 1 day.

She was born Nov. 1, 1878 in Germany and in coming to the United Sates, first settled in the Thorp area in 1900.  On Dec. 27^th of that year she was united in marriage to Charles Buss in a ceremony performed at Detroit, Mich.  In 1905 the couple returned to Detroit where they spent two years, returning here in 1907 when they settled on a farm in the Town of Longwood.  Here they successfully farmed and resided until their retirement in 1955, at which time they moved to Withee.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother.
