Chambers, Hugh (1861? - 8 MAY 1941)

Hugh Chambers, a resident of Superior for many years, died at his home in that city last Thursday, at the age of 79 years, after an illness.  He was a member of the Superior fire department for a long term, until his retirement several years ago.

Mr. Chambers was the last survivor of the family of brothers and sisters of the Late Geo. Chambers of this village (Humbird, Clark Co., Wis.), and was well known to quite a number of our folks.  He is survived by his second wife, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Relatives from here attended the burial services, which were held at the Hatch Funeral Home at Augusta, Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. J.T. Agema officiating.  Interment was in the east Side Cemetery at Augusta.
