He engaged in farming until a few years ago, when owing to ill health he entered the nursing home at Neillsville, later going to Mr. Enockson’s Nursing Home at Greenwood, where he passed away June 12, 1941, at the age of 75 years and 1 month.

A brother preceded him in death in infancy.

He leaves to mourn his death, two half-sisters, Mrs. Rose Stevens, Humbird, and Mrs. Ray Bradshaw in Canada; and three half-brothers, Henry Young, Harlem, Mont., James and Leonard Young of Eau Claire; besides several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Free Methodist Church in this village (Humbird) Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, the Rev. Robert M. Osborn officiating.  Numerous relatives and old friends and neighbors attended.  Burial was in Mentor Cemetery.
