Sternitzky, Fred (10 April 1887 - 16 June 1962)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton for Fred Sternitzky, 85, who died Friday at the Bethel Convalescent Home in Arpin. The Rev. L. E. Schreiber officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.

 

Mr. Sternitzky was born April 10, 1887, in the Town of Lynn.  He received his education in the Lynn school and on September 17, 1903 was married to the former Martha Hillert.  Mr. and Mrs. Sternitzky farmed in the Granton area until 1961 at which time they moved to Granton.  He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.

 

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Walter and Otto Sternitzky, both of Granton; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Lydia) Winter, Granton; and Mrs. Grant (Ruth) Wilcox, Sun Prairie. Fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren also survive as does a sister, Mrs. Martha Windfeldt of Waupaca.

 

The Gilbertson Funeral Home made funeral arrangements.
