Beilke, Harry A. (25 January 1893 - 7 August 1962)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Harry A. Beilke, 69, of Rt. 1, Granton, who died August 7, in a Marshfield hospital.  The Rev. J. C. Ruege of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Globe officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Beilke, a lifetime resident of the Granton area, was born January 25, 1893, in the Town of Lynn.  His parents were Gustave and Augusta (Hanke) Beilke.  He was educated in that town’s rural schools and did farm work all his life, active until his death.  On June 15, 1916, he was married to the former Elsie Schaller.  He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

 

Mr. Beilke is survived by his wife and three children, Mrs. Vera Riedel, Whitewater; Mrs. Lyle (Ruth) Humboldt, Willard; and Harold, Granton. A brother, Theodore Beilke of Granton, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers were Louis F. Winter, Amos Yankee, Arthur Riedel, Louis Breseman, John Prust and Ernest Schlinsog.
