Stallard, John E. (16 MAR 1860 - 1 JUL 1945)

John E. Stallard, better known to all old friends hereabouts as "Ed", died at a Madison hospital Sunday, after a long illness, at the age of 85 years.  Mr. Stallard has lived in Madison with his family for about thirty years, operating a residence district grocery store until his retirement.  He is survived by a son, Earl, two daughters, Mrs. L.F. Schuchardt, and Mrs. D.S. Williams, all of Madison; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. F.A. Shute of Altoona, and Mrs. A.S. Huyck of Duluth.  Funeral services and burial are to be at Fairchild this Thursday afternoon.
