Davis, Luella (? - 16 June 1910)

There passed away at Spring Valley Thursday night of last week the pure soul of beloved Luella Weldon-Davis.  Thus relentless death has cast a deep shadow over the Albert Davis home here, taking from there a most devoted and indulgent wife and mother, one who was ever thoughtful for the welfare and happiness of her little family, her husband and their two little daughters.

A sweet young woman of only 31 summers, married but five short years and whose taking away seems doubly sad, leaving motherless as it does two sweet baby girls, Alberta and Annabel of the tender ages of four and one years.  Her death was caused by cancerous abdominal tumors from which she suffered much during the last two months, all medical science being to no avail.  She died at her parents home surrounded by all her loved ones and was buried as was her wish, down there.  The funeral took place on Sunday.

She lived a faultless life, was a loving wife and a cherished mother; Generous, kind and forgiving and governed in action by that true Christian spirit of "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."  She is survived by her husband, two children, her father and mother, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. To them goes out the sympathy of the entire community.
