Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Burgess of Fairfield, Ia., are in the city visiting friends and relatives.

Judge O.W. and Edward Schoengarth entertained a large party of young people Tuesday eve, and a continuous round of pleasure was forthcoming.  Refreshments for the moral, mental and physical man were served.

 best wishes

Johnnie Rude, the Lynn persuader of young America, came down the posterior end of the week to take in football scrimmage on Gates’s field Saturday.  His sad and woe-begone countenance testifies.  Score: 28 - 0.  Well it’s too bad.
