Gilman, Edna #2 (8 NOV 1905)

Neillsville - Mr. Emil John Ketel and Miss Edna Delight Gilman were united in marriage Wednesday eve, Nov. 8, at the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gilman.  Both young people have grown up among us and are highly respected by a host of friends.  Only immediate relatives and friends were present at the wedding, which was performed by Rev. Rice of the Congregation Church.  The bride was dressed in pale blue and the groom in plain black frock suit.  The house was tastily decorated with carnations and similax.  After the wedding ceremony an elaborate supper in courses was served at small tables presided over by young ladies in white.  The newly wedded then took the midnight train for Chicago, from which place they go on a journey through the east, after which they will be at home in Norfolk, Va.  The bride was educated in the city school and a graduate of the La Crosse business college.  The groom has been employed as traveling salesman for Steele, Wendel & Co. of Chicago for the past two years.
