Tomz, Gertrude (? - 9 January 1911)

Mrs. Wm. Tomz, born Gertrude Wolf died at 5 o’clock Monday morning, January 9, 1911.  Just before the awakening life of a new day, she went to sleep.

Mrs. Tomz enjoyed a large circle of warm friends and acquaintances, that join her stricken family in mourning their loss and the sad and untimely fate that has overtaken her.  In her death her family suffers an irreparable loss for this earth is poorer indeed with such as she beneath the sod.

Gertie has lived in Neillsville since childhood. Socially she was a great favorite, and in the Register of Deeds office where she was a clerk for several years, she by her intelligence and courtesy won the esteem of the general public.  In the morning of September 10, 1908 at the parental home she was united in holy bonds of matrimony to William F. Tomz.  Her married life like that of her girlhood days has been one of real success and true happiness.  Besides her devoted husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wolff, one sister Miss Jessie and brother, George.
