Wuethrich, Vera I. (9 JUN 1908 - 10 NOV 1999)

 

Vera I. Wuethrich, age 91, of Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), formerly of Loyal, passed away on Nov. 10, 1999 at 3 a.m. at Memorial medical Center in Neillsville.

 

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal, with Rev. Daniel E. Zimmerman officiating.  Burial was in the Loyal City Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Lynn Luchterhand, Mike Luchterhand, Jerome Krause, Harold Dahl, Tayt Wuethrich and Trevor Wuethrich.

 

Visitation was held on Friday evening at Rinka Funeral Home in Loyal, from 6 - 9 p.m., and again on Saturday at church from 10 a.m. until time of service.

 

Vera Iola Vick was born June 9, 1908 in Loyal, Wis., the daughter of Henry and Sophia (Paetrow) Vick.  She was raised in the Loyal area and attended the Loyal schools and graduated from Loyal High School.  She worked as a clerk in Kehrberg’s Variety Store until the time of her marriage.  On June 6, 1928, Vera married Jake Henseler Jr.  He passed away on Dec. 16, 1967.  On June 11, 1977 Vera and John D. Wuethrich were united in marriage.  Johan passed away on Feb. 12, 1991.  Vera was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Loyal.  She was a member of the TLCW and the sewing group, avid seamstress, knitter and crocheter.  She made many quilts for world relief and was a Sunday School teacher for many years.  She devoted much time and talent to helping others with her homemade gifts which included layettes, quilts and crocheted baby sweaters.  Never was there a grandchild or great-grandchild that went…(the rest of this copy was cut off)
