Bando, Stanley (11 NOV 1875 - 21 JAN 1958)

 

Stanley Bando, 82, passed away of old age infirmities at the Nursing Home near Gilman, Wis., on Jan. 21, 1958.  He operated a farm in the Town of Roosevelt (Taylor Co.), near Lublin, Wis., for many years.

 

Mr. Bando was born in Czernichow, Poland, on Nov. 11, 1875.  He was married there in 1900 to Mary Mika who preceded him in death in 1942.

 

They came to this country in 1914 and settled on a farm near Lublin where they spent 44 years and raised a family of five children.

 

He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church of Lublin and the Polish Nation Alliance, Z.N/P. Lodge No. 1681.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Tecla, Mrs. Alex Lewan of Roselle, Ill., and Mary, Mrs. Peter Grendzinski of Thorp; three sons, Walter and John of Lublin and Ted of Forest Park, Ill., one brother, Steven in Poland, and one sister, Stella Wolek of Thorp, 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were conducted by Father Eugene Knopka at St. Stanislaus Church at Lublin Friday morning, Jan. 24th with interment following in the parish cemetery.  Pallbearers were: Joe Nowak, Stanley Wojdyla, Louis Stokosa, Peter Liszewski, Frank Zakrzewicz and Frank Ogurek.

 

Out of town relatives attending the funeral of Mr. Bando were Mrs. Alex Lewan of Roselle, Ill., Mrs. Mary Bando of Forest Park, Ill., Leonard and Raymond Grendzinski.
