Moldenhauer, Richard Walter (23 October 1894 - 6 February 1963)

Richard Walter Moldenhauer, 68, died at his home in Greenwood February 6.  He had been ill for four months, and underwent surgery in Rochester, Minn., in October.

Mr. Moldenhauer was born October 23, 1894, in Shawano, where he received his education.  He was married to Hermina Hoesly in Stratford February 3, 1921.  They came to Clark County, where he operated the Clark County Central Cheese factory from 1926 to 1942, then went to Iowa to operate a cheese factory.  From the Iowa cheese factory they then went to Tennessee, Kentucky and Cincinnati, O., then returned to Greenwood in 1953 and lived here since.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Alice) Killian of Milwaukee, and Dr. Ruth Moldenhauer of Red Bluff, Calif., and a son, Ray Moldenhauer of Monmouth, Ill. Four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Walter (Louise) Weix of Shawano, Mrs. Helmuth (Ella) Verch of Marion, Mrs. Woodrow (Hazel) Boaz of McKenzie, Tenn., and Mrs. Robert (Ida) Evans of Inkster, Mich.; three brothers, Otto of Chicago, Ill., Mark of McKenzie, Tenn., and Alex of Greenwood.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from Immanuel United Church, with the Rev. Orval Egbert officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
