Lovell, Julia #2 (12 JUL 1841 - 6 JAN 1913)

After a week’s suffering with pneumonia, Mrs. Lovell succumbed unto death through the dread malady, Monday, Jan. 6, 1913.

Julia Stafford was born July 12, 1841 at Parishville, N.Y., and at West Stockholm, M.Y., on April 19th, 1872 was married to John W. Lovell.  They came to Clark County, Wis. that same year to take up their residence, and through the 40 years since have remained as worthy, estimable residents of this county.  Deceased is survived by her husband and two children, Adelbert of Rice Lake and Lillian, Mrs. Charles Brooks of this place, besides a number of grandchildren.

In the family circle, she was a loving, kind, indulgent wife and mother, who every act evidenced her tender solicitude to the welfare and happiness of its members.  As her body was laid to rest in the silent city of the dead, the pangs of loss and parting of her assemble relatives and friends were softened by the thought that in pausing over the volumes of memories past, the record of no unkind word or deed marred her life and no marble monument was needed to perpetuate the memory of her meritorious life and amiable character.

The funeral services, consisting of a prayer and song at the house followed by a public service at the Adventist Church, were conducted by Wilson Mallory of Stevens Point, and owing to the fact that the daughter, Mrs. Chas. Brooks has just recovered from a siege of pneumonia, she was not permitted to go out to attend the service at the church, though she did attend those at the house.

The pallbearers were Messrs. Free Converse, T.F. Lee, Noble Downer, Carl Berg, E.A. Beeckler and John Breese.  The choir was composed of Mrs. A.J. Knorr, Miss Harriet Pietenpol, Messrs. Byrl Winn and Price Lee, with Mrs. K. Davis at the organ.  Interment was made in the Windfall Cemetery.
