Neillsville Area Locals (18 April 1963)

 

Miss Paula Mueller, head obstetrical nurse at Memorial Hospital, has purchased the H. O. Geise house on Highway 10 near the hospital, Mr. Geise revealed this week.  The purchase price was not revealed.

 

Mr. and Mrs. George Herbel spent the weekend in Milwaukee with relatives and on Monday attended funeral services for David Heffele, 55, a brother of Mrs. Herbel.

 

Alfred Helminski of Crivitz, a former member of the faculty of the Neillsville High School, spent a few hours Monday at the George Herbel and Henry Lukes homes.

 

Mrs. Greta Vollmert is leaving today (Thursday) for a month’s visit in the east. She will visit her son Alfred, and his family in Washington, D.C., and a daughter, Mrs. Dave (Irene) Lougee in Cherry Point, N. C.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Myron Payne and children of Sheboygan spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Werner Jenni.

 

Weekend guests at the Verna Payne home were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tibbett and family of Rockford, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Toby Payne and daughter of Wisconsin Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Humke and family of Nekoosa.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Jenni entertained Mr. and Mrs. John Flitter and family of St. Paul, Minn., and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Meredith at dinner Sunday.

 

Mrs. Maurice Meredith is convalescing at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Roland Jenni.

 

Weekend guests at the Albert Dahnert home were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Goudin and family of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Miss Eileen Dahnert of Eau Claire.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidtke and Mrs. Mabel Austin were Sunday guests at the C. A. Paulson home, near Neillsville.

 

Weekend guest at the William Lehmann home were Mr. and Mrs. Mel Smith and son of Appleton and James Lehmann of Chicago, Ill.
