Hoffman, Rheta (4 OCT 1958)

 

Rheta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Hoffman of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and John Bolf of Chicago, son of Mrs. Catherine Bolf, Greenwood, were married on Saturday, Oct. 4th, 1958 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at Thorp.  Rev. Herbert Hoffmann performed the double ring ceremony.

 

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of duchess satin detailed with imported Chantilly lace and pleated tulle.  Sequins trimmed the scalloped neckline set into an illusion yoke of the empire bodice, with long tapered sleeves.  The skirt and back with cascading tiers of pleated tulle down the sides.  Her headpiece of rolled net with pearls held the imported chapel length silk illusion veil.  She carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis.

 

Lorraine Hazuga of Eau Claire, friend of the bride, was maid of honor.  Dorothy Mickett of Greenwood, niece of the groom, was the bridesmaid and Linda Harper of Racine, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl.

 

The maid of honor and bridesmaid wore waltz length gowns of royal blue and cobalt blue silk organdy and satin over taffeta styled with a Grecian portrait neckline, bouffant skirt and a satin cummerbund detailing the fitted bodice.  They wore matching headpieces and carried bouquets of colored mums.

 

The flower girl as a miniature bride, carried a basket of assorted flowers.

 

Tom Luksmeu of Chicago, Ill. a nephew of the groom, was best man, and groomsman was Arnold Hoffman of Chippewa Falls, a brother of the bride.

 

Serving as ushers were Roger Hoffman of Thorp, brother of the bride, and Wm. Mickett Jr. of Greenwood, a nephew of the groom.

 

A dinner and reception were held at St. Hedwig’s School Dining Room with guests from Madison, Janesville, Withee, Greenwood, Racine, Thorp, Wausau and Chicago, Ill. were present.

 

After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin and Michigan the newlyweds will be at home after Oct. 10th at 4331 N. Ridgeway Ave., Chicago, Ill.

 

The bride, since graduation from Thorp High School with the class of 1956, has been employed at the Thorp Finance Corp.  The groom attended Greenwood High School and is now employed, teletype at Chicago, Ill.
