Humbird (16 May 1963)

 

Mrs. Huldah Winscher is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Ivan Buss, in Cazenovia for a few days.

 

Mrs. Henry Laffe, accompanied by Mrs. Sam Newton and Mrs. Margaret Martin, drove to Eau Claire Wednesday, where they attended the west Wisconsin annual conference of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Williams of Peru, Ind., came Friday to stay until Sunday in the Ellis Williams home.  Mr. and Mrs. Ed Morrow and baby of Canton, Ill., also were guests there Sunday.

 

Mrs. Emma Gerber was a dinner guest Sunday in the Donald Boettcher home.

 

Mrs. Perry Prestibak and boys of Rock Falls were weekend guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Aebersold.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Thompson and son, Jerry, and Linda Paulson of La Crosse, were visitors Sunday at the Walter Sheffer home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Duerkop were in Neillsville Thursday to see Adolph Rosalock in Memorial Hospital. They found him about the same.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Crume of Westby were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Will Hein Saturday.

 

Mrs. Freda Zerbel spent the Mother’s Day weekend with her daughter, Mrs. Dewayne Schweinler, and her family in Elroy.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wally Wallace and children of Neillsville were Sunday supper guests at the Danny Wallace home.

 

The Happy Hour Homemakers club will meet today (Thursday) at the home of Mrs. Phillip Feyen.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Light of Milwaukee brought Mrs. Harry Hanson home from a two-week visit in Milwaukee.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Gregory of Minneapolis and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Gregory of Fairchild, were visitors Sunday at the Fred Barr home.

 

Mrs. Ivan Duerkop spent Sunday and Monday in St. Paul visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Draeger. They attended memorial services for a missionary friend of the family.

 

Mr. Virgil Denk of Decorah, Ia., and Mrs. Ronnie Parks of Marshfield called Sunday afternoon at the Cullen Dignin home.

 

Earl Zimmerman left Monday for Springfield, Ill., after spending the weekend with his family here.

 

Mrs. Emma Gerber accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tande and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Jahn of Alma Center to Lancaster Friday, where they attended funeral services for Ed Vesteman, a friend.

 

Mrs. Jim Trachsel and sister, Mrs. Doris Pederson of Eau Claire, went to Oconomowoc Wednesday to stay until Thursday at the Morris Barka home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Neil Hein, who have been visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Hein, left Monday by plane on a tip to the Ozark Mountains. They will then return for their car, and in June will attend the graduating exercises for their son Neil, Jr., from the college at Boulder, Colo.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Marson and two boys and Linda Sheffer of La Crosse were dinner and afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Sheffer. They also called at the Walter Sheffer home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Laufenberg and family of Alma Center, Mr. and Mrs. William Genteman, Jr., and children of Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mayer and children were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mayer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Perle Pickett were supper guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Jahn of Alma Center.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bornowski and children of Wausau and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Nering and little son of Eau Claire came Friday to stay until Sunday afternoon in the Ted Polege home. Friday, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Johnson and children of Cochrane came to join the group, and then Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Harland Meyers and children of Alma Center and Mr. and Mrs. Fricky Theiler and baby, Scott, came to be with the family group for a Mother’s Day dinner.
