Roads are in very poor shape for hauling.

 

A cattle buyer of Lake Mills was in our vicinity the past week buying all kinds of stock.

 

Will Reindel contemplates going west this summer for his vacation and prospects.

 

Mrs. J.P. Lastofka is confined to the house with a severe cold on the grippe order.

 

The school teacher in district No. 3 was taken suddenly ill last Thursday and was compelled to close school until Monday.

 

C.E. Reed attended the cheese makers meeting at Granton Friday.

 

About 20 of the neighbors gathered at Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Thayer Saturday evening and spent the time most joyfully at Schafskopf.  Come again is the motto.

 

Wayne Potter was called to Anthony Schafer’s with his photo outfit to take some pictures of his family.  Mr. Potter takes great pride in his work and it is A No. 1 work he puts out.  Try him.

 

Misses Alma Reindel, Jesse Northup, Beatrice Miller and Elva Thayer spent Sunday with Miss Alpha Philpot.

 

Frank Kubat had a log hauling bee from Romadka Friday for his barn he intends to erect this coming summer.

 

Mr. A. Schuler bought a 4-horse gasoline engine, sawing outfit and feed grinder of Neillsville parties.

 

F.D. Potter is hauling logs to Granton to be sawed for lumber, etc. for his machine shed which he intends to build this year.  Frank says he hasn’t shed room enough and says that the Lord’s roof above is alright, but not for storing away machinery because it leaks frequently and the paint they put on machinery now days won’t stand that kind of a roof.  We ill have to side in with Frank, as he is old enough to know this and sees plenty of such work among his neighbors.

 

Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Rose spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. C. reed.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Potter spent Sunday afternoon at W.J. Thayer’s.

 

Miss Viola Rhines spent Sunday with Miss Nora Ackerman.

 

Dr. Schweinler was called to G. Wilson Sunday to attend a sick cow.

 

Rank Plummer and Will Reindel took in the sights at Neillsville Sunday evening.

 

D.H. Rhines and family spent Sunday afternoon and evening with Geo. Reindel and family.

 

O. Northup visited with his brother Chas., Sunday.

 

John Wolf of Neillsville was in our midst Sunday.

 

Geo. Reindel took calves to Granton on Monday.
