Neillsville Locals (27 June 1963)

 

Mrs. Neva Yorkston, who has been a surgical patient in Madison, has returned home. While in Madison she also visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Love.

 

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Allen were in Milwaukee last week, where Mr. Allen attended the Wisconsin Bankers Association convention and while in Milwaukee they visited his mother and with his sister, Mrs. Walter Klug.

 

Miss Jacque Jewett of Cupertino, Cal., arrived last week for an extended visit with her grandmother, Mrs.  Robert Frantz.  Jacque is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Jewett.  Mrs. Jewett is the former Jean Kleckner of Neillsville, and Mr. Jewett is a former faculty member here.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Hassan Zoroufy of Oshkosh were guests last week of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ylvisaker.

 

Dennis Carl arrived Monday to spend two weeks’ vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Carl.

 

Mrs. Cecil Beede of Eau Claire is spending several days with her mother, Mrs. Paul Haugen, and is visiting at the Harry Wasserberger, Hiram Haugen and Adelaide Ludovic homes.  Mr. Beede will become director of vocational schools in Eau Claire July 1.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Karl Petersen and family of Dayton, O., are spending several days this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arne Petersen.

 

A pink and blue shower honoring Mrs. Albert Johnson was held last week at the home of Mrs. Jim Fitzmaurice and not at the Jake Fitzmaurice home, as previously stated.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hutchinson of South Gate, Calif., were overnight guests Tuesday of Mr. J. W. Kearns. The Hutchinsons are old friends having served as bestman and matron-of-honor for Mrs. Kearns at her wedding.  Mrs. Kearns and her husband had served in a similar capacity for the Hutchinsons earlier in the same day.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zank and Jerry, formerly of Neillsville, are spending several weeks in Germany with their daughter, Alberta, and her family.  Mr. Zank is expected to return to this area in July and his wife and son will remain in Germany until August.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dahnert left Wednesday on a three-month vacation trip to Pennsylvania, where they are guests of their son and his family.
