Shilts, Jeanette (29 MAY 1959)

Jeanette Shilts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shilts of Rt. 2, Boyd, Wis., became the bride of Robert F. Benzschawel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benzschawel Sr. of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), on Friday afternoon, May 29th, 1959 at a four o’clock ceremony performed by Father Stephen H. Duggar of Holy Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Chicago.

They were attended by Miss Mary Reit of Chicago, a cousin of the bride, as bridesmaid, Justin Jakowicz of Thorp, as best man.  Roger Benzschawel, brother of the groom, acted as witness.  The bride wore an orchid corsage on her white street length nylon dress fashioned with a net overskirt, scalloped neckline and three quarter length sleeves with white accessories.

The bridesmaid wore a blue nylon dress similar to the bride, with white accessories and her corsage was of pink rose buds.

A dinner was given for the wedding party after the ceremony at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Aletich of Chicago, cousin of the bride.

Before leaving for Chicago, the bride was employed as cashier at Burzynski’s I.G.A. Store at Stanley.

The newlyweds spent the weekend in Thorp and Boyd at the homes of their parents.

After June 5th they will be at home at 3251 W. 64th St., Chicago, Ill.
