Washburn Area (1 August 1963)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Muglach and family started last week Thursday morning on their return trip to Birmingham, Ala., after spending two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn, brother, Ernest Kuhn and family and other relatives and friends.

 

Judy Kuhn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kuhn has been employed at the Victor St. John home since last week.

 

Beverly Kalsow spent from Thursday until Sunday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Allbaugh.  Mr. and Mrs. Allbaugh were Sunday dinner guests at the Donald Kalsow home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Timmler and daughter, Edith, of Loyal, and Mr. and Mrs. Irving Stevens visited at the Elmer Kapfer home Sunday evening.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., and Donald were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Grimm of Stratford.  Mr. and Mrs. Carl Grimm and family of Stratford were dinner guests of his parents, also. The Grimm family are former residents of Washburn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo Capito and Mr. and Mrs. Williams of Wisconsin Rapids were Thursday afternoon visitors at the William Tullis home.

 

Mrs. Mabel Struebing returned to Elmhurst, Ill., Friday after spending a couple of weeks with friends. She was a house guest at the Irving Stevens and Mrs. Vivian Hagie homes, and visited many other friends.  She went by bus and spent the weekend at the home of Wallace Krause home in Menomonee Falls before returning home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Buddinger and family, Sycamore, Ill., are spending this week vacationing with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Buddinger, brother, Whitey Buddinger and her sister, Mrs. Ernest Kissling and family.

 

Pat Kuhn spent the weekend with a girlfriend in Wisconsin Rapids.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rutherford of Black River Falls, and Paul Schultz were Saturday supper guests at the Mrs. Odell home.

 

Mrs. Godfrey Laufenberg of Alma Center was a visitor at the Bruce Spiegel home last week Wednesday, helping her daughter celebrate her birthday.

 

Warren and Francis Lincoln were Sunday evening visitors at the Albert Lincoln home.
