The recent cold weather has made the ice so thick that everybody is filling their ice houses.

Ole Prestegard (?) has rented his farm and returned to Stoughton, having sold his cows, hay and some of his furniture to E. Bailey.

There were religious services at Mrs. Baukin’s Monday afternoon and evening by Brother McMellan a Dawn Pilgrim of Alleghany, Penn.

Rube Denure is out every day with his little gray mare which he recently purchased of Davis and Paulson.  He says it will take $300 spot cash to buy her, which is a pretty good recommend for Davis and Paulson in this neighborhood.

Ivan Kidd of Osseo, Wis., is visiting relatives here.

Jim Oaks (?) had the misfortune of getting one of his horse’s legs kicked and broken by its mate, which was quite a loss.

Miss Frankie Bailey in going thru the barbed wire fence last Thursday got bangled in the barbs, fell, dislocated her knee.

Miss Agnes Keenan was home from her school near Babcock.

Beuford Blakeley, while pounding a nail had the misfortune of a particle of direct flying in his eye which caused him considerable pain, but it is better now.
