Uher, Victoria (17 DEC 1908 - 25 JUN 1959)

 

Mrs. Konstant Uher, 50, a resident of the town of Emery for the past 13 years, died at her home in Emery at 3:55 p.m., Thursday, June 25, 1959.

 

Funeral services were held in Phillips Monday, June 29.  The Rev. Fr. Clement Sobr, OSB, officiated at the 10 a.m. services at the lake Funeral Home and at the 10:30 a.m. rites at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Burial was made in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Rosary was said at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

 

Pallbearers were Ben Grimm, Wendell Pass, Frank Jasurda, Tony Simurdiak, Frank Marlenga and Joseph Simurdiak.

 

Victoria Tomczak was born in Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) Dec. 17, 1908.  Her marriage to Konstant Uher took place in Chicago, May 30, 1926.  The family moved to Phillips in 1946.  Mrs. Uher was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Her parents and brother preceded her in death.

 

Surviving relatives include her husband, Konstant; a son, Walter, Chicago; a daughter, (Veronica) Mrs. Alvin Pinkerf, Eau Claire; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Lasiewicz, Thorp, and Mrs. Frank Furmaneck, Gilman; four? brothers, John Tomczak and Casmier Tomczak, Detroit, Mich., and Stanley Tomczak, Chicago, and five grandchildren.

 

Out of town attendants at the funeral services included Mrs. Joseph Lasiewicz, John Tomczak, Casmier Tomczak, Mr. and Mrs. Mat Olejniczak, Mrs. Cecelia Burzynski, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Cutkowski, and Joe Kowalski and daughter, all of Thorp; Stanley Tomczak and Carl Miller, Chicago; Mrs. Klotilda Masa, Westmont, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Alois Prasnicki and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Obert, Ogema.
