Tauschek, Ann (16 MAY 1922-24 NOV 2011)

 

Ann T. Tauschek, 89, Marshfield, died on Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield. A mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Marshfield. Rev. Samuel Martin officiated. Burial was held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Tauschek, Harold Tauschek, Gary Tauschek, Bob Brey, Joe Selner and Bill Breu, and honorary pallbearer was Ron Kupfer.

 

Ann T. Breu was born on May 16, 1922, at home in rural Auburndale, the daughter of Joseph C. and Josephine (nee Bruckert) Breu. She attended Marshfield schools. She married Raymond P. Tauschek on Feb. 3, 1943, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She worked at Weinbrenner Shoe Company, Marshfield for 20 years, before and after her marriage. She moved to Greenwood in 1961, where she and her husband owned and operated Ray and Ann’s Tavern. Ray died on April 13, 1983 and she then returned to Marshfield. She was a member St. John’s Catholic Church, The Parish Council of Catholic Women, and the Marshfield senior Citizens Club. She was also a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society, Marshfield, for more than five years.

 

Survivors include her son, Raymond John "Junior" (Yoko Mori) Tauschek, Waipahu, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Nancy Ann Jenkins, Indianapolis, Ind., and Raymond James Tauschek lll, Mililana, Hawaii; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, William Joh Breu, Marshfield.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Thresilla "Toots" Kupfer and Viola "Vi" Hagen; and a brother, Frank Breu.
