On a beautiful summer day in Chicago, Miss Elizabeth Skaleski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. tony Skaleski, became the bride of Mr. Ted Lukasiewicz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz.  The wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church located at 226 N. Hayne in Chicago, on June 20, 1959.  The couple was married at 10 o’clock mass by Father Duda.  The bride was walked down the aisle by her father.  The bride’s mother was walked down the aisle by Mr. Ted Henzel, an uncle of the bride.  The groom’s mother was walked down the aisle by Mrs. Ray Pszeniczny, husband of the groom’s sister.

 

Attendants to the wedding were Betty Jean Lukasiewicz and Gary Skaleski, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wyskochel, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Skaleski, Shirley Lukasiewicz and Bob Skaleski, Ann Christenson and Kenneth Lukasiewicz, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kielbasa, Theresa Ann Skaleski and Mr. Edward Skaleski Jr.  The matron of honor was Mrs. Carolyn Kielbasa, a close friend of the bride.  The best man was Mr. Kenneth Lukasiewicz, brother of the groom.

 

The bride wore a floor length gown with a scalloped chapel train.  The dress was of Chantilly lace with a v-neckline and long sleeves.  The neck was delicately decorated with sequins and small pearls.  The bride wore a pearl crown.

 

Her bouquet was of white roses and lily of the valley with two white orchids.  Theresa Ann Skaleski, sister of the bride, was dressed as a miniature bride and wore a dress identical to the bride.

 

The bridesmaid’s dresses were floor length of stiff white flowered nylon over colored taffeta skirts.  They were arranged in these colors: Betty Lukasiewicz, lilac, Pat Wyskochel, lavender, Jeanette, Budzinski, pink, Rose Mae Skaleski, yellow, Shirley Lukasiewicz, green, Ann Christenson, powder blue, Carolyn Kielbasa, turquoise blue.  This rainbow wedding was of the lightest pastels.  The girls wore small picture hats of stiff nylon.  Their bouquets were of colored carnations and white roses with the exception of the matron of honor, who had colored carnations with lily of the valley.

 

The bride’s gift to her husband was cufflinks which he wore that day.  The groom’s gift to his wife were earrings of rhinestones and culture pearl which she also wore and a silver evening bag.

 

The reception was held at Junior’s Radio Inn at `364 W. Huron St.

 

Among the many guest, both friends and families from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Mike Lukasiewicz, Mrs. Katherine Milan, Mrs. Louie Malecki Jr., and daughter Louise, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Henzel and sons, Mr. Ray Pszeniczny, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Skaleski and family, Kenneth Lukasiewicz, Shirley Lukasiewicz, Betty Jean Lukasiewicz, Mr. Ben Skaleski and daughter Ramona, Mrs. Katherine Skaleski, Mrs. Leon Skaleski, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ogurek Jr. and family
