Frantz, Elmer (24 November 1896 - 3 October 1963)

 

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Georgas Funeral Home for Elmer Frantz, 66, of Rt. 1 Neillsville, who died Thursday at the Clarence Schlinkert home, where he had made his home for the past several years.   The Rev. W. C. Koehler of the United Church of Christ officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Frantz was born November 24, 1896, in Shortville, where he attended rural school.  He spent his lifetime working as a farm hand.

 

He is survived by his father, Rudolph Frantz of Neillsville; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Ruby) Volkmann of Neillsville; and Mrs. Cecil (Clara) McLyman of Duluth, Minn.

 

Pallbearers were: Billie Gehrt, Ralph Short, Irving Stevens, Clarence Schlinkert, George Allbaugh and Hubert Carter.   

 

"In the Sweet By and By" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Mrs. W. C. Koehler, accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott.

 

Out of town people attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McLyman of Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer of Granton.
