Haybo, Lukas (23 NOV 1888 - 12 OCT 1959)

 

Lukas Haybo, 70, passed away of old age infirmities on Oct. 12, 1959 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls.

 

Mr. Haybo was born Nov. 23, 1888 in Poland, coming to America in 1910, settling at Thorp (Clark Co.), Wis., until 1935 when he moved to Taylor County.  Mr. Haybo, a tavern keeper, retired in 1954.  He was a member of the American legion Post No. 359,  St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Polish national Alliance Lodge.

 

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 15 at St. Peter & Paul Church, Gilman, with Rev. John Dzurko officiating.  Military rites were conducted by the American Legion Post No. 359 and burial was in Meadowbrook Cemetery, Gilman.

 

The deceased is survived by one brother, Nickolay, Poland.

 

Pallbearers were: Harold Kolpack, Wendell Koolmo, Frank Kondrasuk, Stanley Wrzosek, Aloise Wicenski and Philip Frese.

 

Those from out of town attending the funeral were: Miss Tillie Zukowski, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zukowski, Mrs. Peter Zukowski and Robert Zukowski, Thorp; Mrs. Anna Zukowski and son Jacob, Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Julius Zukowski, Chicago; Mrs. Francis Neiman, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Lato, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Piwoni of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Bohomel Kalal, and Jim Kalal, Cornell.
