The German Lutheran Church of Fremont held their children’s day picnic on Sunday, June 1st, same being a success in every way.  And the members of the church wish to thank everybody that attended and helped to make it a success.  Quite a number of the Marshfield Auto Club were present and was liberal in swelling the fund.  A goodly number from Granton and vicinity attended and did their share.  Jake Henning was kept busy with his touring car between Chili and the picnic ground in order to accommodate all those wishing to partake.  The amount taken in at the picnic was $165.32.  C.E. Blodgett of Marshfield being unable to attend, came out 2 days later and added a five dollar bill, making the total $170.32.  The expenses were $79.06, leaving a net profit of $92.26.
