Bogumill, Judith Ann (28 NOV 1959)

 

Judith Ann Bogumill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bogumill, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Carl E. Thaxton, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hockaday, Dayton, Ohio.

 

Father William Hefferson officiated at the 12:30 p.m. double ring ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 28, 1959 at St. John’s Cathedral in Milwaukee.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin street length gown featuring long sleeves, bateau neckline with tulip effect on the skirt in front and flowing drop from the mid-bodice on the back.  Her bouquet was of white spider mums with ivy foliage.

 

Miss Barbara Hirsh, Thorp and Judith Richardson, Woodruff, friends of the bride, were maid of honor and bridesmaid respectively.  They wore red and blue nylon acetate street length gowns featuring quarter length puffy sleeves with scoop back.  They wore headpieces of matching blusher veils and carried bouquets of white roses, mums and carnations with silver trim.

 

The groom was attended by Al Manowaksi.  Ushers were: Jerry Magnum, Chuck Couthart and Mike Bogumill.

 

An informal buffet was held at the Lee Snyder residence in Milwaukee.

 

The bride is a graduate of Thorp High School and is attending Patricia Stevens College, and is employed by Gimbels Store.  The groom graduated from Roosevelt High School and is attending Milwaukee School of Engineering.  They will reside at 1314 Van Buren St., Milwaukee.

 

Guests attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. James Hockaday, Dayton, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Christenson, Mrs. Bill Staker and son Bill, and Marion Haas of Madison, Mrs. Stanley Manicke of Hartland, Mrs. Geddes of Hartland, Mrs. Malcom Gresham and daughter Gail, Bob Fay, Sam Disalno, Jerry Magnum, Al Morowaski, all of Milwaukee, Judy Richardson of Woodruff, Miss Doris Reichert of Milwaukee, Church Couthart of Racine, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bogumill, Mike Francis, Byron and Barbara Hirsch of Thorp, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Snyder and children, Marsh, Mike, and Butch, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Tom Polnaszek and Ed Polnaszek of Thorp, Mrs. Pearl Jetson of Milwaukee.  School friends of the bride and groom also attended.
