Frantz, Sandra (Marriage - 9 November 1963)

 

Nuptial vows were repeated Saturday in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Neillsville, uniting in marriage, Miss Sandra Frantz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Frantz of Neillsville and Evariste J. Bedard of Iron River, Mich., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bedard, Sr., of Iron River.

 

The altar of the church was adorned with baskets of white chrysanthemums as the Rev. Norman Lindloff performed the double ring ceremony.

 

As she approached the altar with her father the bride was attired in a white floor length gown of Mori Lee Silk styled with a full bouffant skirt. The fitted Chantilly lace bodice was enhanced with long tapered sleeves. A pearl and crystal crown held her finger tip veil. She carried a cascade bouquet of white Fuji mums and red roses.

 

Janice Rekowski of Minneapolis served as her matron of honor.  Her bridesmaid was Mrs. Georgiana DeMert of Neillsville. They wore street length vermilion dresses with matching floor length overskirts and matching head-pieces.  Their crescent shaped bouquets consisted of white Fuji Chrysanthemums.

 

Gary Sholund of Merrill was bestman. Groomsman was Donald Rekowski of Minneapolis.  Ushers were Joe Berg of Crystal Falls, Mich., and David Bialko of Michigan.

 

One hundred fifty guests attended the reception in the American Legion Hall.

 

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and a modeling school. She worked four years in Minneapolis and for the past year has been employed in the office of the Clark County Highway Department.  Mr. Bedard, a graduate of Iron River High School, has employment with the Northwest Layne Water Development of Milwaukee.

 

For the present Mr. and Mrs. Bedard will reside at 2211 Maple Street, in Marshfield.

 

Out-of-town guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Rekowski and family of Minneapolis, Minn.; Adolph Voigt of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Voigt, Judy and Patricia, of Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Ketchpaw of Oak Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Joe ilk, Jr., of Wind Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Becker of Ft. Atkinson; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bulgrin, Lynn Jaeckel, and Mr. and Mrs. Pat Trieweiler, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. William Bedard, Sr., William Bedard, Jr., David and Kathy, of Iron Wood, Mich.; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Grandy, Joe Berg, David Bialko, all of Michigan; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Sholund of Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. James Voigt, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Gorsegner, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Gorsegner, and Mrs. and Mrs. Richard Needham, all of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Slim Voep of Oshkosh; and David Bertz of Withee.
