Bush, Darla Juna Lee (Marriage - 30 November 1963)

Rev. E. G. Burtness officiated at the double ring ceremony Saturday in Calvary Lutheran Church uniting in marriage Darla Juna Lee Bush, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bush of Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Alan Hilbert Naedler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Naedler of Rt. 3, Neillsville.  The 8 o’clock candlelight service was performed before an altar adorned with two baskets of white chrysanthemums and snapdragons. The pews were decorated with white, lacey bows.

Approaching the altar with her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of Peau taffeta, styled with a Sabrina neckline and elbow-length sleeves of silk illusion. The skirt was fashioned with a bell-shaped skirt, detailed at the back by a fabric rolled rose. Her full length bridal veil of silk illusion cascaded from a rhinestone and pearl tiara.  She carried a cascade bouquet of stephanotis, centered with a white orchid.

Miss Georgiann Anding of Neillsville served as maid-of-honor. Bridesmaid was Joyce Bush of Black River Falls.

William Howard of Granton was bestman. Groomsman was Ronald Kobeske of Sparta.  Ushers were Norman Morbeck of Wauwatosa and George St. John of Burlington.

Wilfred Galstad, accompanied by Mrs. E. G. Burtness at the organ sang, "The Wedding Prayer" and "O Perfect Love."

One hundred fifty guests attended a reception in the fellowship hall of the church.

The bride, a graduate of Neillsville high school, and Eau Claire Vocational School, has been employed in the Motor Vehicle Department in Madison.  Mr. Naedler, also a graduate of Neillsville High School (1957), attended Wisconsin State College in Stevens Point.

Close relatives attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Larsen and children of Fullerton, Cal., and Mr. and Mrs. George St. John of Burlington, sisters of the bride; and Mr. and Mrs. John Kaufman of Fairchild, sister of the groom.

Other friends and relatives attending were from Black River Falls, Merrillan, Alma Center, Eau Claire, Owen, Withee, Sparta, Beloit, Wauwatosa, Granton, Milwaukee and St. Paul, Minn.

On their return from a wedding trip into northern Wisconsin and Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Naedler will reside near Neillsville, where the groom is engaged with his father in farming.
