Wells, Adelbert S. (23 August 1896 - 27 January 1964)

 

Adelbert S. Wells, 67, of Greenwood died Monday at his home.  He had been in failing health for many years.

 

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from Grace Methodist Church. The Rev. David Kellin will officiate.  Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.  Military rites will be conducted by the Willis-Hinker Post, No. 238, American Legion. 

 

Mr. Wells was born August 23, 1896, in Whitehall.  He was the son of the late Willis and Grace (Freeman) Wells.  On September 20, 1917, he was married to the former Elsie Dux in Neillsville.

 

He attended the Wagner School in Whitehall and Greenwood High School.  He was a veteran of World War I.

 

Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Wells resided on a farm two and one-half miles northeast of Greenwood, where they lived until September, 1962, when they moved to Greenwood.

 

Mr. Wells was a member of (balance of obit is missing.)
