Hause, Chester Guy (29 MAY 1889 - 14 JAN 1961)

 

BLACK OAK - Chester Guy Hause, Sr., 71 of 7277 W. 24th Ave. Gary, died Saturday at Methodist Hospital, Gary. Services will be at 9:30 am Tuesday in the Virgil Huber Funeral Home, 177th St. and Kennedy Ave. and 10:00 am in St. Anne Church, Black Oak, with the Rev. Walter J. Martey singing mass. Burial will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville.

 

Surviving are his wife Ozilda; four sons, William and Chester of Gary, Don Oldenberg of Hammond, and Vern S. Oldenberg, of Milwaukee, Wis.; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Hoover and Mrs. Loretta Frailey, Gary and Mrs. Yvonne Rinehart, Hammond; three brothers, Vern of Fon du Lac, Wis., Ray of Milwaukee, and Howard of Colby, Wis.; and 17 grandchildren.

 

A retired employee of Standard Railway and Equipment Co., he resided in the Calumet Region 20 years.

 

*Note: Chester was born in Clark County WI, The only place to work was a cheese factory  where they made cheese boxes, when it burned he came to Chicago until the war and then moved to Hammond and worked in defense factories making war tanks.

 

He was in his early 50's when he left Wisconsin.
