West York (27 August 1914)

 

J. Schaefer had a shingling bee last Wednesday.

 

Mrs. J. Vincent and daughter, Eva, spent Thursday afternoon with Mrs. J. Kubat and they took them home in their car which they appreciated.

 

Some of the young boys spent Sunday afternoon with the Kelly boys.

 

Will Diercks is working for Willis Armitage of Weston.

 

Ed. Begley is improving the looks of his home on the old McKim place with a coat of paint.

 

Walter Graves has been confined to the house by sickness.

 

Mr. and Mrs. F. Plumer entertained callers last Thursday evening.

 

Alvin Vincent and two of his Weston friends, Ted Schlinkert and Frank Zickert, killed a large pine snake last Sunday.

 

Joe Krejci and best girl took in the picture show and dance at Neillsville Saturday evening.

 

Fred Haack is going to have a dance in his cheese factory next Saturday night, Aug. 29th.
