Klukas, Beverly (14 OCT 1961)

Miss Beverly Klukas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Klukas of Cadott was given in marriage by her father to James Buchanan, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Buchanan, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), during a marriage ceremony Saturday evening, Oct. 14, 1961, at 7:00 o’clock.

The Rev. Gene Carlson officiated at the matrimonial rites performed in the Methodist Church at Withee.  Ellard Clifton sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "O Perfect Love," with Mrs. Nellie Smiley serving as organist.  Bouquets of white carnations and yellow pompons were used to fashion a setting for the candlelight ceremony.

Wedding guests were seated by Charles Klukas and Ron Brunette.

The bride, who was preceded inot the church by her attendants, Miss Betty Klukas, maid of honor, and Miss Clarice Mickelson, the bridesmaid, both of Cadott, was attired in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace and gossamer sheer tulle over bridal bouquet taffeta.  Sequins sparkled on a scalloped Sabrina neckline.

Her veil was secured to a tiara trimmed with seed pearls, sequins and rhinestones, and her flowers were feathered white carnations and a cross of blue carnations.

The maid of honor wore powder blue nylon over taffeta and carried gold carnations, as did the bridesmaid, whose gown was deep blue nylon over taffeta.

Leonard Buchanan, Withee, was his brother’s best man and Frank Olszewski, also of Withee, escorted Miss Michelson.  The reception following the ceremony was held at the Nazareth Lutheran Church Hall.

The new Mrs. Buchanan is a 1956 graduate at Cadott and has been employed at Chippewa Plastics.  Mr. Buchanan, who received his education at Withee is employed at Dolly Madison Dairies, Chippewa Falls, where he and his bride are residing at 42 East Elm St.
