Weller, Joan #3 (7 OCT 1961)

Yellow Chrysanthemums and bronze pompons banked the altar of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, for the wedding of Miss Jaon Catherine Weller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weller, Abbotsford, and Ronald Wayne Amacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred P. Amacher, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Amacher-Weller nuptials were performed Saturday afternoon, Oct. 7, 1961, at ?:00 o’clock by the Rev. F.H. Sprengler.  Herbert Juneau played and sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord’s Prayer."

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length white bridal gown of Chantilly lace, the molded bodice of lace cut to a V below the fitted waistline and the scalloped Sabrina neckline embroidered with tiny seed pearls.  The bouffant skirt was made entirely of ruffled tiers of scalloped edged lace.

The imported orange blossom crown secured the misty scalloped edged veil of silk illusion, and the bride carried a bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums and bronze pompons.

Mrs. Larry Blunck, Northfield, Minn., was the matron of honor, and Miss Sherrie Amacher, Owen, were the bridesmaids.  They wore street length dresses of shrimp embroidered white nylon over tangerine taffeta with puffed sleeves and high necklines coming to a V at the back.  The frocks, which had fully gathered skirts, also had cummerbunds.  Their headpieces were of the same material as their dresses and had silk illusion veils.  Each aide carried a basket of yellow chrysanthemums and bronze pompons.

Sheila Amacher, Owen, was the flower girl and Myron Weller, Abbotsford, the ring bearer.

Larry Blunck, Northfield, Minn., served as best man, and Bruce and dale Amacher were the groomsmen.  Serving as ushers were Dave Hiatt, Abbotsford, and Doug Eggert, Medford.

The wedding reception as held at the Abbotsford Village Hall with the supper served in the church basement and the dance held at the Dorchester Memorial Hall.

Mrs. Amacher, a 1960 graduate of Abbotsford High School, has been employed by Employers Mutual of Wausau.  Mr. Amacher, who was graduated in 1955 from Withee High School, is a contract milk hauler for the White House Milk Co., Abbotsford.

After a honeymoon trip to various locales in Wisconsin, the Amachers will reside in Withee.
