Krejci, Edwin (7 July 1900 - 8 April 1964)

 

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral home for Edwin Krejci, 63, of Racine, who died April 8, in St. Luke’s Hospital in Racine. The Rev. W. C. Koehler officiated and burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mr. Krejci was born July 7, 1900, in the Town of York, where he attended school and grew to manhood.  He was the son of the late Frank M. and Anna (Schaefer) Krejci.  He farmed for many years near Granton.

 

He was married in September 1925, to Stella Gardner, who died in 1929.  After her death he moved to Racine, where he had resided since.  In 1950, he was married to the former Minerva (Richmond) Pluhar and together they operated a coffee shop and diningroom in Racine. 

 

He is survived by his wife; three step-sons, Charles and Anton Pluhar, both of Racine, and Jack Pluhar of Anaheim, Cal.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hemp of Neillsville, Mrs. George (Mary) Hales of Granton, and Stella Krejci of Racine; and a brother, Victor Krejci of Granton; and six step-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers were John Kelly, Franklin Reindel, Charles Gardner, George Krause, Ervin Greeler and Harold Scharf.

 

Out of town people attending the funeral were Mrs. Minerva Krejci, Anton Pluhar and Stella Krejci of Racine; and attending from Granton were Bernard Pietenpol, Mrs. Vernon Schumacher, George Mortimer, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Voight, Mr. and Mrs. George Hales, Victor Krejci, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Searles, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gardner, Mrs. David Winkel, Mrs. Douglas Crandall, Mike Gardner, Charles Gardner and Harold Scharf; others attending included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Celar and Mrs. Alice Krejci of Willard; Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Hales of Wisconsin Rapids; and A. L. Gardner of Eau Claire.
