Alfred Porath and Ernest Neinas went to Neillsville Monday evening.

 

Mrs. Henry Yust of Neillsville was an over Sunday guest at the Fernando Johnson home.

 

Louis Nickel was a Neillsville caller Tuesday.

 

Bert Morris of Oconomowoc was a guest of his cousin L.G. Morris here the first of the week.

 

Mrs. John Martin spent the weekend with her husband at Wausau.

 

Vernon Huntley came home on Friday from a couple of weeks visit at Stevens Point.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Waterman were over Sunday guests at the E.A. Beeckler home.

 

Hon. And Mrs. H. Otto of Plymouth are visiting at Otto Henze’s and other friends since Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Nancy Johnson and Mrs. Fred Frank and 2 children were at Neillsville between trains Tuesday.

 

The Misses Frieda Garbush and Irma Albrecht left for Roscham, S.D., Monday.

 

Mrs. Hannah Mahn and daughter Irene were over Sunday guests at the Wm. Schruse home.

 

Miss Martha Konshak of Dorchester is visiting her sister Mrs. Herman Riedel here since Saturday.

 

James Hughes’ big 3-story house is being lathed since Saturday last.

 

Mrs. Knuf and daughter Alice of Plymouth are visiting at George Wilson’s in York since Saturday.

 

Mrs. Knuf and daughter Lydia of Athens came Saturday and made an over Sunday visit at Mrs. Amelia Reichert’s.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kommer and two children, who have been visiting at the Fred Schwantes home the past month, returned home to Spencer Saturday.

 

The Misses Ora and Maria Davis, and Miss Lena Buse, the latter from Christie, are visiting at Loyal since last Saturday.

 

The Misses Mildred Kintzele and Harriet Pietenpol came home Saturday from a three week visit between Sheboygan and Milwaukee.

 

Mrs. Webster of Ashland and Mrs. Wilson and daughter Alice of Plymouth are visiting at Geo. Wilson’s in York since Saturday.

 

Mrs. Hale Davis will entertain the O.E.S. Birthday Club tomorrow, Saturday afternoon.  All visiting O.E.S. are welcome.

 

The W.S. Davis family returned home Tuesday after a week’s outing in the Holverson cottage at Dells Dam.

 

The Rush Wentworth, Hugh Berg, Geo. Wilson, Frank Potter and W.J. Thayer families spent Sunday with the W.S. Davis family at Dells Dam.  Mrs. Berg remained over until they broke camp on Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Minnie Steele came over from Neillsville Friday and remained until Monday evening, a guest of the Chas. Wiesner home.

 

Mrs. H.E. Williams is visiting Neillsville friends since Monday.  Her mother, Mrs. Larua Brown, is looking after her home here during her absence.

 

Mrs. Mary Hubing went to Neillsville Saturday evening and spent Sunday with friends.

 

Mrs. Andrew Palmer, after a several weeks visit here with her husband and son, returned to Sycamore, Ill. on Friday.

 

Mrs. J. Ayer of Palmyra is visiting Miss Ruth Lee since Saturday.

 

Mrs. Gerzemehle and daughter Laura were Neillsville visiting Saturday.

 

Dave Garbisch transacted business at the county seat on Saturday.

 

Rev. Destinon and little daughter of Wausau were over Sunday guests at the Henry Sternitzky home.

 

Mrs. Ahern, after a several weeks stay here with her nephews Mike Klein, went home to Chicago on Saturday.

 

The Misses Shirley Knorr and Jessie Morris are visiting at Stevens Point since Saturday.

 

The Misses Elsie and Frieda Henchen of Neillsville were over Sunday visitors between the Adolph Schune and Paul Handke homes.

 

Miss Minnie Moore came up from Stevens Point Friday and is spending the week with Miss Ora Marsh and other friends.

 

Mrs. Minnie Hornbeck of Sharon is visiting the T.F. Lee, G.E. Amidon, R.T. Washburn and various other families since last Saturday.

 

The Fremont baseball team will play the Chippewa Indians next Sunday on the ball grounds at the Frank Davis corner.

 

Miss Clara Henchen came down from Rhinelander Saturday and made an over Sunday visit at the Paul Handke home.

 

Mrs. Grob of Wausau and Mrs. Lange of Watertown came last Friday to visit at Rev. Reiff’s.  Rev. Lange joined them there on Saturday.

 

Miss Sommerfeld was an over Sunday guests here of her friend Miss Adelena Nickel.  The two girls went to Neillsville Monday to attend teachers examination.

 

Byrl Winn returned home Tuesday from a business trip to Vesper.

 

Mrs. Edward Grob of Wausau was an over Sunday guest at Rev. Reiff’s home.

 

Harold Haltaufderheide had dental work done at Neillsville the first of the week.

 

Miss Amanda Schuelke came up from Milwaukee Saturday for a short visit under the parental roof.

 

Mrs. Will Hubin and son Leland were over Sunday guests of Miss Clara Hubing.

 

Miss Laura Neitzel and Miss Violet Hollenbach went to Merrillan Monday and met Mrs. Robert Jackisch and baby Laura who came up from Dubuque on a visit.

 

Miss Marion Smith, a professional nurse, took care of Mrs. Will Montgomery at Neillsville last week.  She is relieved by Mrs. Frank Converse this week.  Mrs. Montgomery is ill with consumption.
