Lynn (1 September 1911)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo R. Brooks spent Sunday with Mrs. H. B. Holmes at Granton.

 

The Misses Elda Helm and Adeline Faber visited in Chili with the latter’s sister, Mrs. John Hefty, Sunday.

 

Miss Dora Bettomer of Crompton, Ill, was the guest at the home of August Gotter’s several days last week.

 

Jerome Hams of Grand Rapids, Wis., a former merchant of this place, was calling on old friends here Friday and Saturday.

 

Fred Hankey had lightning rods put on his residence last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Altenburg Jr. spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Chubb.

 

Ralph Boyington of Oshkosh visited E. F. Brooks several days last week, and other friends at this place and Nevins.

 

The Fred Kleinschmidt and Will Albrecht families spent Sunday with P. Jensen’s.

 

Mr. A. W. Beil of Chili was looking after business at this place, Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Jim Tremelling of Heathville was calling on friends in this place the latter part of last week.

 

Miss Elsie Nygaard and "Walter Sternitzky accompanied Miss Anna Sternitzky as far as Minneapolis where they will visit with relatives for a short time.

 

R. T. Washburn autoed to Hatfield Sunday with his family and Mr. and Mrs. E. Montag.

 

Miss Bertha Helm visited her aunt Mrs. P. Steinbach, Sunday.

 

Miss Nora Gotter entertained the Busy Bee Embroidery Club Saturday and in the evening, the young folks enjoyed a party.

 

R. T. Washburn and Max Opelt transacted business at Marshfield Tuesday going over in the formers auto.

 

Miss Ruth Lee of Granton called on Mrs. R. T. Washburn Monday.

 

Max Opelt will give a dance at the Lynn Park Saturday evening September 2nd.

 

Miss Martha Sternitzky and her sister Mrs. Westbroker from Marshfield came over Sunday morning for a short visit.

 

Mrs. Levi Larson returned to Clintonville after a two week’s visit at her uncle John Martin’s.

 

Little Harvey Gotter is on the sick list.

 

Willie Sternitzky has commenced to build a basement under his barn.
