Hart, Joyce Marie (Marriage - 1 May 1964)

The Rev. Bernard T. Kelly officiated at the nuptial mass Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, uniting in marriage Miss Joyce Marie Hart daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hart, Sr., of Dallas, Tex., and Frederick J. Jordan, son of Mrs. Frederick Jordan of Neillsville.  The double ring ceremony was solemnized before a flower adorned altar.

The bride was attired in a gown of Bowknot Chantilly lace over satin. The Basque bodice featured a high neckline trimmed with sequins and pearls and further highlighted by long, tapered sleeves.  From the waist cascaded a very full bouffant floor length circle skirt, which was enhanced by a chapel train. The hem of the dress was trimmed with imported sequins. An ornate crown of pearls and crystals held her elbow-length veil of silk illusion. Her bouquet consisted of lily-of-the valley, entwined with green ivy.

Miss Katherine Jordan of Elkhorn, sister of the groom, attended as maid-of-honor.  Miss Joanne Goodbrand of Milwaukee, a friend, was the bridesmaid.

August Jordan attended his brother as best man, and Henry Jordan, another brother of Janesville, was groomsman.  Ushers were Paul Jordan and Bishop Kolano.

Nuptial music at the church was furnished by the Sisters of the church.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s mother at 719 Hewett St., Neillsville.

The groom is employed as an assistant cheesemaker in a Greenwood plant.

On their return from a wedding trip to Dallas, Tex., Mr. and Mrs. Jordan will reside in Greenwood.
