Lukstein, Wanda Sophie (16 December 1893 - 29 June 1964)

 

Mrs. Reinholt Lukstein, 70, of Greenwood, died Monday in Neillsville, where she was admitted to the hospital 2½ hours before.  Death resulted from old age complications.

 

Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood, and at 10 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Rev. Mulert from Sacred Heart parish in Sparta will officiate. Burial will be made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 

The body will lie in state beginning this (Thursday) afternoon at the Hill Funeral Home, with a general rosary at 8:30 this evening.

 

Mrs. Lukstein was born December 16, 1893, in Connellsville, Pa.  The former Wanda Sophie Kryzanski was married to Reinholt Lukstein in April, 1923, in Chicago. They resided in Chicago until 1934, when they went to Thorp, going onto the home farm.  In 1947 they moved to Harvard, Ill.  They moved to Greenwood in 1960, living there since.

 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and St. Ann’s Society.

 

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. George (Rose Marie) Fitzl of Greenwood; a son, Emil of Harvard; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Reinholt Lukstein, 70, were held July 3, from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood.  The Rev. Donavon Mulert of Sparta officiated.  Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Cletus Susa, Edwin Brumbaugh, Peter Korntved, Jake Barr, and Martin Merlak all of Greenwood, and Eugene Budzinski of Thorp.

 

Relatives from away who attended were: Laverne Morris, Harold Morris and Emil Lukstein of Harvard, Ill.; Frank Budzinski of Glen Ellyn, Ill.; Mrs. Mary McGowan of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kryzanski of Toledo, O.; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kryzanski, Mr. and Mrs. John Budzinski, Miss Mary Ann Budzinski, Miss Betty Budzinski, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Pivoni, Mrs. John Wnek, Mrs. Edward Kotecki and sons, and Joseph Truckey of Thorp.
