McMahon, Joseph (4 January 1873 - 25 July 1964)

 

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton, and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville, for Joseph McMahon, 91, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died Saturday morning in the Clark County Hospital in Owen.  The Rev. Bernard T. Kelly officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Joseph McMahon was born January 4, 1873, in New York State. He came to the Town of York as a small boy and resided there until two years ago, when he entered the hospital at Owen.  He never married.

 

Survivors are two nieces: Mrs. Dupree Wooten of Chicago, Ill., and Mrs. Glen Lavey of Neillsville.

 

Pallbearers were: Harold Garbisch, Donald Sladek, Frank and Louis Walters, Steve Lepori, and Royal Teatz.
