Finnila, Arvi (17 AUG 1903 - 5 NOV 1962)

 

Rev. William Prussi of Negaunee, Mich. will officiate at the final rites to be held at 2:00 o’clock from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home for Arvi Finnila, 59.

 

He passed away Monday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, following a stroke.

 

The deceased was a resident of this community since 1911.  For many years he pursued the occupation of farming until ill health forced his retirement two years ago.

 

Pallbearers at the services will be Ed Blum, Lester Balts, Harvey Weideman, Alvin Venske, Ensio Bjorn and Rodney Bjorn.

 

Born Aug. 17, 1903, at Negaunee, Mich., Arvi came to this community with his parents as a youth.  On April 26, 1952, he was united in marriage to Grace Blum in a ceremony performed at Cadott.

 

His passing is mourned by his wife, Grace, a son, Andrew, 6 1/2; two daughters, Martha 7 ½ and Mary 9, and a step-daughter, Euncio, 14 years of age; two brothers, Einar and Arthur Finnila, both of Owen; and two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Martha) Jensen, Owen, and Mrs. George (Lyda) Stertz, Chicago, Ill.
