Adelbert Gardner is working for Clay Converse this week.

 

Mrs. John Martin and children arrived on Sunday morning’s train to visit here father, Mr. Hiles.

 

Miss Anna Gardner spent Sunday with her parents.

 

Guenther Eden and Adelbert Gardner spent Sunday evening with Ernest Schmidtke at Lue Smith’s.

 

T.F. Lee is cementing and remodeling the basement of his barn.  Meisner Bros. are doing the work.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Chet Stratton of Jackson County are visiting at the Free and Hugh Converse homes.

 

Mrs. Amelia Davis had a valuable cow seriously injured one day last week.  It nearly bled to death from what looked like gunshot wounds.

 

Hugo Swanson was in the neighborhood this week, looking for a horse to replace the one he lost recently.

 

Mrs. Amelia Converse was taken quite sick Monday night.  Dr. Rath was called Tuesday morning.

 

Mrs. Laura Mason and Mrs. Elizabeth Fuller visited at Free Converse’s on Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee spent Saturday at the county seat.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Free Converse expect to leave for Terre Haute, Ind. on Thursday to visit their daughter, Mrs. Price Beeckler.

 

Chas. Brooks and Lue Smith are cementing the new barns this week.
