Schlinsog, Helen Marie (Marriage - 17 October 1964)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Helene Marie Schlinsog of West Allis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schlinsog of Granton, and Bruce R. Winkler, also of West Allis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Winkler of Rural Granton.  Bronze and yellow chrysanthemums graced the altar of Zion American Lutheran Church in the town of Grant as the Rev. Evan Dieck performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride approached the altar with her father, wearing a floor length gown, styled with a semi-full skirt of Chantilly lace-over-satin.  Her Basque bodice featured a square neckline. A beaded crown held her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis.

Mrs. Fred Winkler of West Allis served as matron-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Robert Arthur of Milwaukee and Miss Shirley Scharf of Granton.

Fred Winkler was best man. Groomsmen were Allen Schlinsog of Caledonia, Minn., and Norman Schlinsog of Granton.  David Scharf was ringbearer and Toni Langreck served as flowergirl, dressed as a miniature bride.

A wedding reception was held in the American Legion Hall in Neillsville. Following the reception, the couple left on a wedding trip through Wisconsin and Michigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Winkler will reside at 2233 South 82nd Street, West Allis, where the bride is employed in a nursing home and Mr. Winkler is employed in a department store.
