Wachsmuth, Karen Kay (29 DEC 1962)

 

The wedding of Miss Karen Kay Wachsmuth of Milwaukee, daughter of Mrs. Carl Wachsmuth, route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Roy Vincent Frane, Owen, took place Saturday, Dec. 29th, 1962.

 

The Rev. H.L. Crubel officiated in the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, during which the church choir sang the Mass.  The marriage ceremony took place at 10:00 a.m.

 

The bride’s brother, Victor Wachsmuth, with her floor length dress designed with a chapel train and round neckline with lace appliques, the same design of appliques being sued on the front of the skirt.  The back of the dress, which was designed of taffeta peau de soie, had a bow at the waist.  She carried a cascade bouquet of a white orchid, stephanotis and holly greens with streamers.

 

In the bride’s party, as matron of honor, was Mrs. Gerald Wachsmuth of Owen, and the bridesmaids, Miss Janet DePina of Vincennes, Ind., and Miss Waverlee Frane, Owen.

 

Aqua street length lace sheath dresses with lace overskirts and scoop necklines were worn by the bridal aides.  Each carried a bouquet of red and white variegated carnations with holly.

 

Attending the groom were Gerald Wachsmuth, Owen, as best man, and groomsmen were Eugene Frane, also of Owen, and Donald Wibben of Colby.  Glenn Frane of Abbotsford, and Wallace C. Wachsmuth, Wausau, ushered the wedding guests.

 

After Mass a breakfast was served at the parental Frane home for the wedding party, and later a reception took place in the Legion Hall at Owen, where the dinner and dance also were held.

 

The bride and groom are both graduates of Owen-Withee High School with the class of 1959.  She has been employed at Si Ganzer’s Beauty Salon in Milwaukee, and he as a factory worker.  They will reside in Owen.

 

Out of town guests attending the wedding came from Vincennes, Ind., Chicago, Ill., St. Paul, Minn., and Wausau, Milwaukee, Abbotsford, Merrill, Stetsonville, Colby, Curtiss, Dorchester, Butternut, Wittenburg, Athens, Wis. Rapids and Spencer.
