Thomas, Carol L (Marriage - 26 December 1964)

Nuptial vows were exchanged December 26, in a double ring ceremony in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville uniting in marriage Carol L. Thomas of Neillsville, daughter of Mrs. Helen Evans of Rt. 2 Neillsville and Dale G. Foemmel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Foemmel of Rt. 3, Neillsville. The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated.

Joseph Jarems of North Lake, Ill., uncle of the bride, gave his niece in marriage.

The bride was attired in an Empire-styled sheath gown of peau de soie and lace. The skirt was enhanced by a detachable chapel train of Swiss lace and peau de soie. The Empire bodice featured a scoop neckline of Swiss imported rose petal lace and pearls, and long, tapered sleeves. A bouffant cloud veil of English imported illusion was attached to a glittering crown of pearls and aurora borealis crystelle teardrops. White roses and lily of the valley entwined with ivy and ferns, made up her bridal bouquet.

Mrs. Virgil Christenson of Marshfield served as matron of honor. She wore a slim fitting long Velura red velvet sheath dress with a Watteau panel accenting the back of the dress. She wore a pillbox hat of white fur and carried a white muff adorned with a bright red carnation.

Everett Foemmel, brother of the groom, was best man.

Organ music was played by Victor Lehmann.

The bride is a graduate of the Neillsville High School and the San Francisco normal, and at present is the owner of a dress shop in Neillsville. The groom is employed in Marshfield.
