Stout, Carol Ann (29 October 1939 - 13 March 1965)

 

Funeral services were held in Black River Falls Tuesday for Miss Carol Stout, 27, former teacher at the Pine View School in the Neillsville District, who was killed last weekend in an automobile accident. Burial was made in the cemetery there, beside the grave of her father.

 

Miss Stout taught third and fourth grades in the Pine View School in the 1963-64 school years, and until November 16 of the current year.  She resigned following the death of her father and went to Northern Illinois with her mother.

 

Before her father’s death, the family resided in Augusta.

 

She had completed a two-year teaching course and was working toward her bachelor’s degree while she was here.  Miss Stout was born October 29, 1939, in Black River Falls.

Carol Ann Stout, 25, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Greenwood, was killed in a two-car accident in Rockford March 13. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in Black River Falls.  Burial was made there in the Shamrock Cemetery. The Rev. Mueller of Rockford, Ill., officiated.

 

The funeral was attended by people from Neillsville, Granton, Greenwood, Willard and Waukesha, Wis.; and Rockford, Belleville, Matta and Courtland, Ill.

 

Carol Ann Stout, daughter of the late Earl Stout and Edith (Johnson) Stout, was born October 29, 1939, in Black River Falls.  She was baptized and confirmed in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood, attended Greenwood grade and high schools, was a 1955 graduate of Augusta High School, and of River Falls State University.  She taught school in Augusta, Stanley, Merrillan and Neillsville.

 

After the death of her father on September 1, 1964, she moved to Rockford to live with her mother and brother.  She was the secretary to the director of nurses in the Swedish-American Hospital in Rockford at the time of her death.

 

Mis Stout had just received a contract to teach in the kindergarten in the Concordia Lutheran School in Rockford in the fall of 1965.

 

She is survived by her mother and brother, Wayne, of Rockford, Ill.; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. John Seif of Neillsville; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Charles Stout of Rockford, Ill.
